About Us

Mike Harnden (Operations) www.rfaprojects.co.uk

After retiring from the military, Mike gained 15 years experience as a successful innovative organiser of a wide variety of major international events.

He left the Army in 1988 as a Major having served with the Parachute Regiment and Royal Artillery.
During his service he organised numerous large scale military operational deployments as well as sporting and social events. Between 1996 and 2000 Mike was employed by the Daily Mail Groups Antiques Fairs Organisation who staged over 75 major international events each year.

He was a key member of the Manchester 2002 Commonwealth Games Management team and initially had a leading role in the contract negotiation for all temporary structures. Once that phase was completed he then project managed the construction of 4 of the 13 Sporting venues which he achieved on time and within budget.

He has been closely involved in disaster relief recovery efforts as well as establishing new major events including “Collect it Fairs” and the “Newark International Vintage Tractor and Agricultural Machinery Show” which is now recognised as the premier event in the national events calendar. He has been with Aero GP since April 2006 as Operations Director.
